My poor schmoopie :-(

Simon woke up kind of barfy this morning, which is nothing terribly out of the ordinary. What was troublesome, however, was that when I would pick him up, he'd kind of go "meep!" like it hurt him. And he was really quiet, very much not himself. So I got him into the vet this morning and had to leave him there while I went to work for a few hours. He had blood and urine samples sent to the lab and I won't hear about those until tomorrow, most likely. I don't know if he got into something: There was no indication of that when he was barfy.

And if all that wasn't bad enough, he somehow managed to scratch his cornea today! The vet is mystified how that could happen, but I suspect he may have gotten a piece of litter in his eye while he was lying/hiding in it.

He's home now, he ate a little supper (but I'm trying to give his tummy a break, so I'll probably not feed him any more tonight) and, as you can see, he has taken over my pillow for a much-needed nap (I'm positive he didn't sleep at all at the vet's office).

Not a happy day, here at Planet Vicster. :-(

Matinee Idol

Shot with Arthur Cox at 1/30 second, lit only by my 24" iMac screen and a string of "fairy lights" along the ceiling behind him. The F2 is so heavy that it actually helps with stability in low light shots!
