my weekend, in triads

Heading for my son in the Persian Gulf...
I haven't tried the Neocolor II crayons yet, but I've heard so many good things about them, I had to get some.
I like the simplicity of the washes here, they work!

The cookies are traveling to the Persian Gulf, where my son is on a US Navy carrier. He would prefer chocolate chip too, but I thought they might melt too much!

Thanks, everyone! It WAS a nice weekend, finally warmer. But instead of painting plein air, we weeded a newly installed flower border along the length of the building, pulling out tough grass roots. Man, am I sore!
