The biggest burn in Burning Man history occurred on Saturday night at the Oil Derrick. Over 2000 gallons of fuel were used to create a massive fireball in the middle of the Black Rock Desert.
This art piece was called "Crude Awakening" and was by Dan Das Mann, Karen Cusolito, Black Rock FX, Pyrokinetics, Nate Smith, Mark Perez and MonkeyBoy.

Thank you. I was pretty mesmerized myself.. I knew the blast was coming so I lined my camera up with where I *thought* the blast would be and when it went off I just pulled the trigger.
I was extremely lucky to get the frame I did. :D
