OLPC at Khairat School

I visited the first OLPC pilot started by Reliane Communications at Khairat School near Karjat and was very happy to see the enthusiasm with which the teacher, the kids and their parents embraced this initiative. The OLPCs have a special user interface called Sugar that was designed specially for children by Red Hat, the OLPC Foundation and others. Sugar is based on Fedora (http://www.fedoraproject.org)

I visited the site on December 21st 2007 and working on OLPC is one of the things I look forward to in 2008.
