As I recall, the genius of this design was that this was before you could turn off the blue linked-image border, so having the blue border as part of the design made it effectively invisible.

eye witness = world, travel including city guides
piazza = community (from threaded discussion to moos)
ren 2.0 = art, music
coin = commerce (the store, advertising, etc.)

Voyager CD-ROMs may be dead media all too soon since the intel macs don't run the classic OS. I have no idea if they run on current windows machines.
