Blowfish Gelaskin

So I went out and got a new Gelaskin for my Macbook, and I think it looks very pretty. Gives it a more personal touch. Plus, now people stop in Starbucks and ask me about it, which is great because it has been the impetus for many great conversations.

This particular skin is based on a drawing called Blowfish by Nanami Cowdroy.

To take full advantage of Flickr, you should use a JavaScript-enabled browser and
install the latest version of the Macromedia Flash Player.

Yup, it covers the Apple as well. I was a bit upset about that at first, but I actually quite like the look without the Apple. (Makes it look like I have something unique rather than the now ubiquitous Macbook.

It's a vinyl cover, so the Apple light doesn't shine through at all. (Actually, if you're in the dark and the light is shining bright, you can make out the outline of the Apple, but otherwise, you can't tell it's on.) Best part about the vinyl cover is that not only does it make the light almost non-existent, but it repels oil and water pretty well. (And the adhesive is made so that you can peel it off and reapply it easily, with no residue.)

Paul, I don't know where I can get my Macbook etched without sending it away for a significant period of time. I can't part with it for more than a few hours, so skinning it made much more sense. Know any places that etch in Toronto?

Reya, where's the other Gelaskin you saw? I know Matt Haughey posted one a week or so ago.

Piece of cake to apply: if you make a mistake, peel it off and re-apply! The adhesive is great, and leaves no residue.
