Had it been a more recognizable corporate or political logo such as a Big Mac or IBM’s Logo would it have caused the same panic? My fear is for the two arrested for this apparent public trespass and FUBAR. What BS Homeland security anti-terrorist law will these guy’s be held on?

No idea what a LED is, though. Well, I must confess this bomb scares the hell out of me and I'm glad the bomb squad blew it up. Phew!!

I'm thinking the next marketing hoax can be to take a schoolyard full of children hostage, wire them with what look like explosives, and then reveal it's a promo for a new movie! Or...maybe hold a gun to a puppy's head on camera until 1000 people register for some sale, and then pull the trigger...revealing that it's a squirt gun. Jeez. The bridge and tunnel placement of the LED thingees was the scariest and dumbest part. Is there such a thing as bad publicity? In the end, won't a ton of people tune into the cartoon to see what prompted the inane marketing? And won't it win new business for the guerilla marketing company behind it? Already a lot of the response on other blogs is that Boston police over-reacted, and that it was a harmless prank. Or 'art.' Strange...
