Dock Street Market | Bokehrama

Dock street, probably my favourite place in Leeds.

Brenizer method was used to simulate a 34 mm f/0.55 lens by stitching 24 photos taken with a Samyang 85mm f/1.4.

Great result! I tried Brenizer method last year but didn't produce nice result with my zoom lens. Need a prime medium telephoto lens like you :)

Great !! can I achieve this with my 35mm 1.8 ??? I read is better to use a telephoto lens ?

      Thank you!
Thanks! It took me a few tries before I got an image that I liked. You have an 85mm f/1.8, don't you? That combined with the FX sensor should give you some awesome results :)
Yeah, you really need a fast lens for this effect to work, especially with a crop-sensor DSLR.
It's worth a try. 35 mm is relatively wide, so you'd probably not need 24 shots, but then you might have more problems with distortions and parallax.

Really interesting comop. Your post process is really well done.
Funnily, it reminds the ambiance of one of my pictures from UK.

I love this picture soo much. I don't know which part is so captivating but it's just really nice to look at. Somewhat reminds me of the street scenes in Sweeney Todd. :)

This is amazing. Puts you into the street directly; I can feel the smell, cold and everything :)
Tell me, when you stitch 20+ images do you use Autopano Giga or somehting else? My CS5 gets stuck and my CPU's fan dances samba :)

    21. Vaidas M (11 months ago | reply)

Thank you! I normally use CS5 (now upgraded to CS6). It does take quite a while though. I've been meaning to try Microsoft's ICE though, apparently that's better at joining panoramas that involve vertical stitching.
