The Bristle-thighed Curlew is a rare shorebird that only breeds in western Alaska. Approximately 60% of the global breeding population nests on the Yukon Delta National Wildlife Refuge. Photograph is taken in the Andreafsky Wilderness by Kristine Sowl.
