(Right photo) Woods checks growth in the same field just a few months later. Woods is working with the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) for assistance to improve his land and conserve natural resources. Woods has added a cattle-watering system, fencing to control cattle movement between fields, planted 9.1 acres of forage for the cattle to feed on, improved the forests on his land, and created wildlife habitats.
