PHILIPPINE SEA (Nov. 18, 2009) - Boatswain's Mate 2nd Class Carlos Gonzales guides a 7-ton Marine Corps truck from the well deck of the amphibious dock landing ship USS Tortuga (LSD 46) onto landing craft utility (LCU) 1631. Tortuga is disembarking personnel and equipment assigned to the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (31st MEU) after participating in Annual Exercise (ANNUALEX 21G), a bilateral exercise between the U.S. Navy and the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force.
