    A gorgeous pink star moth (Derrima stellata) that showed up at tonight's Nantucket Moth Blitz at the property of the Linda Loring Foundation. A "lifer" for moth of the moth hunters at the event. Thanks to LLF for hosting and to Sarah Oktay at the Nantucket Field Station for making it happen!

      What a beaut! I'm afraid the few truly colorful species I have out here, I've yet to find much.

      Excellent! Such a pretty one with those colors, and you captured the detail of the scales quite nicely.
