Canker

Canker

Another encounter on my walks is this tree with its hefty ulcer

I used ADOX CHS 50 film again, it is really sharp this film...

palladium-print-out (Ware process) on Fabriano Artistico Extra White. It is a new batch of sheets, which has again to be acidified.

Sprickad Björk

Sprickad Björk

I found this scene on my routinely walk, in the little wood near Kalmarsund; as if nature had arranged a nice graphic, knowing that one day I would come along...
The only thing I had to do was to expose a sheet of film.

This time I used ADOX CHS 50 film, the sharpest film I ever had in my camera...

Chat of the bottles

Chat of the bottles

another shadowplay by the sun with a few bottles in our kitchen some January afternoon.

I had to hurry so much that I did not properly level the camera...

My Father

My Father

My Father, photographed during my recent visit January 6th 2012.
4x5 palladium print on Fabriano Artistico.

He is a bit more than 101 years and a few months of age. To my big joy, I found him in a good mood.
He is since a while about blind and has some problems with hearing, what he recently commented saying:
"after a certain age one has to accept a few health impairments."
But I know that he misses his ability to read a lot...

The River Stour near Melford

The River Stour near Melford

A photograph from my journey through England in mid September.

Sometimes there is so much peace in a tiny segment of landscape that is about unbearable. I, more convinced that happiness is impossible to be photographed, in such moments I try it again.
Here is the result of one of these trials.
I'm not sure if the image shows peace and happiness; but I'm happy that the swan understud my wish and positioned himself in the place I wanted him to be, after half an hour of heavy concentration on him and waiting...

Palladium print (Ware process) on Fabriano Artistico Extra White, printed straight from the 4x5 negative.
