I spotted this cool vintage note holder in a thrift store and just created a cool sign/card holder for my booth in my first craft show ever! Its an old giant metal paper clip circa 1960s or 70s. I added handmade leaves and flowers to it and have a handy sign for one or many cards in the top slot. Cost? 50 cents! Yippee!
Thrifted metal plate charger was found in a thrift store, and with a new metal easel (bought for 40% off at Micheals with coupon) , becomes elegant magnet holder. Magnets are made with aluminum cans as well as those tiny flowers on the card holder.
I recently saw the same type holders at Kohls...a big box store in my region...for $15.00!!!!!!! I also saw in one of my vintage craft magazine a tutorial on making one....with a wire coat hanger, a tuna fish can, and some plaster of paris. I think I will make some.
If you have a tube bending tool for copper pipe....I can imagine beautiful ones crafted from 1/8 or 1/4 inch copper tubing. I cannot find mine, but its around somewhere in my home.
