I took 6 photos from the same spot, each one focused on a different set of people. Then, I simply combined them in PS to get a cool, different effect. It's the first time I'd ever tried it (actually, the first time I'd even thought of it) and did it on the spur of the moment... I'm glad I did.

Thanks!

Wow, crazy cool. I first noticed the most important part, that you composed a really cool, interesting and unique group shot. That alone is nice. The extra focus trick is icing. Kudos, man.

Did you have them all stand there and then quickly click off 6, or did you take just one couple, then add another, and so on, and then clone them in?

Terrific idea and implementation.

Thanks, all!

@Mike: Actually, I just had them stand there and rattled off the photos within no more than 15 seconds. I bracketed each 'set' just to make sure (that was a very shadowy/sunny hallway - the reason they were spread out as they were was so all of them would be in sunlight)

I think, after looking at it some more, that the thing that makes the effect that much more pronounced was the perspective of the hallway. If this was done outdoors with no discernible scale, it wouldn't have nearly the effect this one does.
