Monifa is a rare pygmy hippo born at Taronga Zoo in Sydney Australia. She had her first experience of the limelight at her media debut on Friday. This is her being given a bath by her keeper Renee.

Hi Guys, yep this is the little hippo that was all over the news on friday. She is extremely cute and curious, and is quite something to see. I had been told that she was about the size of a watermelon but I had no concept how just how small she would be, she looks a bit like an alien :)

@A Moment of Magic Thanks, I am totally in love with her, this photo was taken when she was about a week and a half old and about 4 kilos, and I just saw her today and she is now almost 10 kilos at 4 weeks old. It is so awesome to she how she is thriving:)
