On Fernwold Street

Residents in Springfield's Mallory Village housing development, in huge numbers, brought out their personal household trash to deposit in the city-leased Dumpsters on a citywide cleanup day in May 2007. Their deposits filled up several Dumpsters and caused a stir among city workers attempting to keep up with the focused effort to collect and remove a large amount of bulk items already abandoned in the public spaces. The Dumpsters were not placed there to collect household trash.
