The impact of these measures was significant. Women farmers described both their productivity as well as their household decision making power as increasing significantly. They also described how previously men and women sat on separate sides during the cooperative meetings and women members would never speak. Now the women and men sit together and everyone feels comfortable making their voices heard when discussing the operations of the cooperative as well as the future plans.
