The Carter House is an abandoned home in the vicinity of my house, presumably from the latter half of the 19th century. The wood frame structure with old stone and brick chimneys at each end has simple lines and a simple interior plan. It consists of 4 rooms—2 up and 2 down, with both a down- and upstairs hall, heat provided in each room. The small porch on the other side has totally collapsed. This is the rear of the home, the wooden siding filled with stones, rags, and other things in between.
