So, so jealous of your tidy space. Love the red phone. Is that a photo of the Golden Gate Bridge to the right?

Please tel me it's not always this perfectly tidy.....please! ;)

I love wall hung cabinetry. Most of our is wall hung, it's so much cleaner looking....and easier to clean under! ;)

Where did you get your Bertoia chair cover? Mine came with a small-ish leather pad. I have one of those IKEA sheepskins for cushion.

Carol -the phone is a late 70's trimline, burnt orange. And it is a photo of the g.g. bridge -taken as we were passing over the bridge in a friend's 1968 benz.

Amy -it's NEVER this tidy. ever. My friend Matt made the cabinets:
www.eastvoldcustom.com. The bertoia chair is vintage and came w/ the cover. It's classic knoll fabric. But you can order them new and the annual knoll sale is coming up...

thank you all for the nice comments -I'm so happy I finally organized this space.

That chair doesn't look very comfortable tbh.

Btw, where did you get those white boxes from? Also what printer is that?

Thank so much for the headsup on the cushion! I'm getting one, as mine chair is "counter height" due to my high desk and when my legs dangle off the edge for hours they do get a little sore.
Ouch, scratch that....$400 for just the cushion, I may make my own! Lol....

itstomreally and lovely days -the chair is actually really comfortable, for me anyway.

The boxes are from a local Minneapolis Company - Russell + Hazel.
Printer is a canon and it came free w/ our imac:)

Amy -is that the sale price of the cushion? I've always thought the little chair pads (not the full cover) would be easy to make.

Well, the sale is 10% off and the full price is $403. So, unless it's 90% off, I'm going to make my own...lol..... I have the little leather chair pad already (which is also way over priced), but I don't think the full chair pad would be too hard. Maybe a little tricky......perhaps it will become a tutorial?

UNIFORM natural  Pro User  says:

you should call your knoll rep -I thought the sale was typically 40% off retail, which isn't like 40% the regular price, but better than 10% off....
They way my original full chair pad is made seems like it would be hard to construct. The back side has to be finished as well, and then there is the molded foam layer and the draw cord.
If you actually do it, a tutorial would be wonderful:) Could you do one for the bird chair too? I need a new cover for that one....

OK, OK! You've inspired me to clean up my studio this weekend!

You're also making me want to use one of my Bertoia chairs at my desk instead of putting them in the garden.

The entire desk and cabinetry are stunning. What a great use of the space.

Matt at Eastvold Custom did all our cabinets in our house and they are beautiful as well. I love his commitment to modern style and craftsmanship.
