Me - 10 Months Living Right

Me - 10 Months Living Right

Self-Portrait

10 Months ago I started to live better.

I decided to change or create one habit per month for one year. It started with giving up the consumption of alchohol. Then I started to eat from a smaller plate at dinner time and refrain from second helpings for at least one hour after the meal. Then I began eating more often throughout the day. After that I cut out all refined carbs and processed foods. Then I started cutting back on carbs in general; consuming more protein and natural fats. After that I began going to the gym 3 days per week. Now I'm going 5 days per week lifting weights and doing some cardio.

So, here I am, 10 months later; 55 pounds lighter; fitter, heathier and happier.

I've got more to accomplish but I am finally at a point where I'm comfortable taking my shirt off again.

1 thing per month. Small, managable, bite-sized changes; giving each time to root itself as a habit. It allowed me to drop from 240 lbs down to 185 lbs over 10 months while leaving me with good, balanced habits I have a good chance of maintaining.

Strobist: Alien Bees Ring Flash with Octo-Soft-Box camera right, tripped with PWII. Tripped with the little remote control shutter trigger I overpaid for.

See it LARGE

Every day she becomes less a baby and more of a little lady.

I may be biased but I've never met a little girl with as much beauty and grace as our little Ella.

Her favourite way to greet a person (whether she knows them or not) is to shake their hand and ask, "How do you do?"

Now that's cool.
