Mosquito Killed by PermaNet![]() A Swiss company called Vestergaard Frandsen donated several items for me to give away as part of this project. This includes an item they make called PermaNet. PermaNets are mosquito nets that are tear-resistant, dirt-resistant, long-lasting, and can be disposed of when no longer needed without harming the environment. But most importantly, they are treated with an insecticide that is wash-proof. I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it myself - but these nets actually do kill bugs. This one was one of several that I found on my net while using one in a rural village in Bangladesh.
I had donated one to a mother and her family of two. They apparently found a dead cockroach on the net in the morning.
