Kodachrome, you give us those nice bright colours

Kodachrome, you give us those nice bright colours

Taken on October 16, 2010 in Morningside Park in Scarborough, Ontario during a group photo-walk that was organized by my friend John Meadows (http://johnmeadowsphotography.wordpress.com/) to celebrate the end of the Kodachrome era - the last photo lab still processing Kodachrome had announced that they would cease accepting it for processing at the end of 2010, and John decided it was time for a last hurrah. He bought some "new old-stock" rolls off eBay and invited people to join him on the photo-walk in October, in order to capture the glorious colours of the Fall foliage with the best film ever created for the job - Kodachrome. John has just got the slides back from the lab and was kind enough to scan them for me so I could see them right away (he'll hand over the actual slides the next time we get together).

The camera I used for the photo-walk was a Nikon F60 that I borrowed from my son, Colin (http://www.flickr.com/photos/terriblenews/), when I couldn't figure out where I'd put my old Konica TC away when I'd last used it before switching to digital.
