ART INSTALLATIONS IN EMPTY STORAGE UNITS FOR ONLY ONE-NIGHT
The 10X10 exhibition returns on Saturday, November 21, 2009 from 6:00-10:00 p.m. at Lake Worth Storage. This is the third installment of 10X10, created by renowned independent curator Kara Walker-Tomé, which last year drew 600 people.
10X10 delivers a unique art experience. The audience searches through the cavernous facility of hundreds of
storage units to find seventeen art installations, and they will be amazed how the ingenious artists create fully
multi-dimensional site-specific installations with only 10 square feet or less to work with.
Curator Walker-Tomé is especially excited to be working with a new crop of artists this year, as 14 of the 18
artists in the show are new to 10x10. The artists have typically been mostly from Palm Beach County, but this
year word of the show spread far and wide and she received proposals from all over Florida. This year selected artists are also from Miami, Ft. Lauderdale and as far away as Tampa and Gainesville.
The twenty-one artists participating in the exhibition are Elizabeth Atzberger, Steve Backhus, Jeane Cooper,
Vanessa Diaz, Daniel Elias Fernandez, Samantha Gozlan, Kristin Miller Hopkins, Lauren Alyssa Howard,
Lauren Jacobson, Bridgette Ludden, Kate McLeod, Andrew Nigon, Darren C. Price, Justin Rabideau, Lisa
Rockford, Cristina Sierra, Carmen Tiffany and Kalina Winska.
Admission to the show is $6.00. Lake Worth Storage is located at 4166 South Military Trail, Lake Worth, FL
33463. Limited on-site parking. Parking available at the NE corner Lake Worth Rd/ Military Tr. (old Albertsons
lot). Free golf cart rides will be offered from the SE corner to site. More information at www.artsiteprojects.org or call 561/670-9658.
10x10 is produced by ArtSite Projects. Sponsors include Luice Design, Hotel Biba, Propaganda, Closer
