This will be the last photo of this piece, if I can not find the same color glass, since I used Smalti on everything else I made the wall's in regular glass but do not have enough, I don't think I can peel glass of or does anybody know how?

Don't know about peeling the glass off...but I want to tell you this piece is one of the most amazing mosaics I've ever seen, so well done, so natural. I love it, Ully!

Ully, this is fantastic! Is it the blue glass that you need more of? Do you know what brand it is? Someone must have some.

This is lovely. What glue did you use. When I have used weldbond and changed my mind about something, I have left wet paper or cloth on the area and it has come off fine, but if it has been stuck down for quite awhile you might have difficulty.

the blue looks great, sorry to hear you don't have enough at the time, getting the glass off shouldn't be a big problem, look at the thinner used to make the glue liquid it should be mentioned on the glue container. I often use nail-polish remover to soften glue (not in mosaic, I have done this often when repairing my daggers electric wire glued to metal)

Wow Ully, it looks stunning!
I thing that it doable (yet not easy) to peel off the glass - use a strong knife with round edge. but maybe instead of peeling the glass off you can play with another shade of blue (darker? ) to create light and shadows effect?

Yeah I like idit.biton's idea... please don't put this away, I need an ending to my story :) I know Marian Shapiro mentioned in one of the forums a while ago that she was able to soak off tiles, 2 years after the fact. Weldbond being the glue she used. I don't know what to suggest if it is thinset!? I've gotten weldbond off plenty of times a few days later, never tried years later!!!
Best of luck!

Ully
Glass can be removed. Just takes time and can be a bit dangerous.

Depending on the adhesive used will determine the method of removal.

Is there no way to get more of the same glass though?

I want to thank everybody for the encouragement and suggestions, I will try soaking it off with water and pray that the smalti does not come of also, I guess it's my punishment for trying something new, like a new material. I am sooo frustrated.
Idit, a round knife like a dinner knife?
Paul no more blue, but some new one is on the way.
The glass came in a pack I ordered about 1 1/2 years ago, it was I think left over, it was one whole sheet, but since I am not good in
cutting it I had a lot of splinters and I wanted it to look kind of uniform (which it still does not)
Yes it is the dark blue with gray shading, I have ordered about 8 sheets from what I saw on the net, since we don't have a glass store around here. ( 2-3 hour drive)
Gri, Sandy, Carol, Veronrose, Casimir, Idit, Kim, Paul, HRSG and Christine, Thank you for the support and suggestions, I will try.

Ully,I will look at it on my other computer- just to be sure, I might have some for you. Don't get excited, I'll take a picture and post it for you. It's all scraps, no whole pieces. If it matches, it's yours. My gift. I'm charging my camera battery - it will be done tomorrow.

i read on the mosaic artists.org forum this morning that wd-40 removes silicone from non porous materials. it may work on your glue.

Thanks guys, the water worked, I guess because the glue had not really set yet, so now its just a waiting process, since it takes for ever to get the orders from that store.
Oh, and Eve I don't belong to them anymore, I am to sensitive for this kind of group.

Ully, I missed all this drama!
You simply can not stop!
I am so glad that the glass came off and you can finish it.
Even a darker blue would be great, good shading I think.

It is so outstanding Ully!
