The Information Committee's People and Parliament inquiry begins

The Information Committee held its first public evidence session, as part of its People and Parliament inquiry, on 18 March 2009 - and heard evidence from the Hansard Society, the UK Youth Parliament and Brent Youth Parliament.

The Information Committee has launched a web forum (eConsultation) to hear suggestions from members of the public as to how the House of Lords can improve people's understanding of the work and role of the House of Lords, and how people would like to interact with the House of Lords and Parliament. The forum is open to everyone and will run until 28 April 2009. We hope that you will register and share your thoughts and suggestions.
