thank you. i had the reference on the laptop screen and the pad on the keyboard last night. The nice thing with using a pen is that i dont use an eraser and have to carry on inspite of the errors that creep in. I like the spontaneity of it. for my sketches/drawings, the pen has replaced the pencil.
