Milarepa Children's Chorus, Tibet House, Paul Blackthorne's Delhi to Manhattan Exhibit
"In May 2008 Paul Blackthorne traveled to India. The first part of the trip was spent with The Missing Peace project en route to meeting His Holiness the Dalai Lama. The second part was spent in the Himalayas, trekking in Ladakh; then a final stop in Bombay to catch up with old Bollywood friends. Interesting things popped up along the way: Former NBA star John Salley playing basketball with the children of the Tibetan Children's Village. Gustavo Santaolalla playing his charango for the Tibetan Oracle. Full circle rainbows of the sun. Curious donkeys and Buddha's birthday celebrations....
Delhi to Manhattan is a collection of these and other photographs from the trip.
Money raised from the sale of the photographs will go to the Tibetan Children's Village and Tibet House US at the request of the artist."
