The Boys, Brutus and Buckeye
These guys love to play almost as much as I love watching them.
Returning from a Saturday-to-Saturday trip, we went to six zoo's in
six days. Met some GREAT folks along the way, many thanks to all for
coming out to meet us and showing us around!!

Columbus Zoo info on these guys:
"Standing about eight feet tall and 850 pounds each, these young
Alaskan brown bears still have about a year to grow! Found as orphans
in Alaska, they are now active teenagers. The brothers enjoy
wrestling, arguing over toys and playing in the water and snow. Their
favorite treats are large bones on which to gnaw, large plastic items
for floating, balls and anything they can tear apart. Eventually, just
about everything ends up in their pool to play with!"

I thought they were "dancing". Great shot Valerie! Superior color and detail. The Detroit Zoo has an interesting polar bear exhibit...not large but the bears are cooperative for photos. The park is large and beautiful, but sometimes there aren't a lot of animals to see.

Amazing photo, ucumari. Outstanding work. And to visit 6 Zoos in 6 days is more than I could hope to do - once a week is my speed. And spending a week in Cleveland was worth a visit to its Zoo.

What a gorgeous photo of these beautiful bears!! Wow, six zoos in as many days - I need some of that stamina! Next time you are travelling down this way, let me know. I would love to meet you in person and spend the day at a zoo with you. Glad you had a wonderful trip and made it back home safely. Can't wait to see all of the photos. :)
