LiebeDoni

LiebeDoni is pure Italian art.
A contemporary nod to Italian typographic heritage, LiebeDoni’s warm and friendly style is perfect for—literally—bold headlines and impressive invitations.
Take a seat on LiebeDoni’s Vespa and enjoy the sweet curves of dolce far niente. But don’t let the relaxed hand-crafted appearance fool you: You’re dealing with a solid quality typeface that has received painstaking attention to detail.
Round like the Colosseum, some lines are as colloquial as the Tower of Pisa—but all this with almost Teutonic obsession for technical perfection.
Feature-wise, we went the full quattro stagioni: Variations and alternatives for many letters, swashy initials and swirly ligatures—plus language support that goes way beyond English and Italiano.
Double-o ligature, anyone? Two different www ligatures? Check.
Get both the outline and the filled version and go crazy on creative layering and endless possibilities. Each font contains over 600 glyphs and both contain the full character set.
Make a bold move to italy—treat yourself with this font.

DJR »Manicotti« ✽ Toilette Plates | Ladies & Gents (for widescreen displays)

Wallpaper 1920x1200

The outstandingly unique and beautiful, fat wood type face in use, »Manicotti«, was created by David Jonathan Ross.

Manicotti is inspired by the boisterous wood types of the nineteenth century, Manicotti pushes the reversed-stress French Clarendon style to its decorative extreme. Its thick tops and bottoms and massive slab serifs overtake the short vertical stems, creating an oddly dense typographic texture.
Originally drawn as an all-caps poster face, Manicotti was honored by the Type Directors Club in 2007. Ross revisited the design a couple years later, adding lowercase, extended language support, alternates and ornaments. The result is a contemporary take on a rambunctious style, reminiscent of Spaghetti Western films, rugged trails and rowdy saloons.

»I ❤ Wood Type« Grungy Logomark (for widescreen displays)

Wallpaper 1920x1200

The typeface in use for the lettering »I Love Wood Type« in the center inside the circle is called »Veneer« and was created by Ryan Martinson | Yellow Design Studio.

Veneer from Yellow Design Studio is a high resolution hand-crafted letterpress font that’s vintage and authentic with a touch of grunge. It’s highly customizable with six distress options for every letter and three for all other characters, and because it’s remarkably detailed, it looks great even at very large sizes. In addition it includes a matching set of funky extras…for free!
The Veneer family includes Veneer, Veneer Two, and Veneer Three with Veneer containing the least distressed characters and Veneer Three the most. Mix and match as desired to create realistic letterpress type.
