I'm trying to dig out some photos of my
earlier versions of my studio (back when I
was using posterboard). Because I don't think
everyone needs this much stuff to take good
photos. But of course it means that I can
take photos at night!
I'll have some more on styling and
post-processing on the blog ... maybe later
this week.
But there is far more candy in that room
that the photos show. I kind of moved things
around and hid some things from the camera
(not catching that mess in those mirrors back
there was tough).

Ooo, I can't wait to learn more from you
Cybele! My set up is so ghetto compared to
yours, hahaha. I really need to invest in a
good light, I am only using a tungsten slide
bulb in a clamp light. The rest of my setup
consists of a hollowed out box with
posterboard and tracing paper as a (useless)
diffuser.

That's very interesting! I've seen such a
shooting table at a store recently, but I'm
not entirely shure how much it boosts the
quality of the pictures. Do you think it's a
good investment? At 400$ it was quite
expensive, though.

Like the Grand Canyon - I think that lighting
makes far more difference than the shooting
surface. The nice thing about the plexi is
that it's easy to clean up. You've seen how
gooey some of my candies can be.
However, there are some nice infinite
background options that are far less
expensive ... or you can go really and just
use some posterboard. (I still have my
posterboard from my original setup that I use
for bounce - they're tucked between the cart
& the little tool area.)
I don't think the shooting table was quite
as much as $400 (but I don't know since it
was a gift).
