    Ashton Sterling - Nope, no black card was used. This pattern of bursts occurred just as you see them, within the 3 second exposure time.

    A lot of neat fireworks shots out there today. However, the 'explosion' at the bottom of the image, silhouetting the two people, makes this one stand out from the others.

    This is an outstanding fireworks photo. Wonderful composition with the people silhouettes to give perspective and the rest of the frame with the perfect proportion of black sky and nicely angled, colorful and sharp starbursts of various sizes.
