Roadside Grazing

After visiting some locations on the southern stretch of the Frontier Pathways Scenic Byway I headed back north towards my overnight destination of Cañon City. As I turned north at McKenzie Junction from Hwy 165 to Hwy 96, I happened to look up in my rear view mirror in time to see some bighorn sheep crossing the road behind me. I turned around as soon as I could and slowly drove to the sheep, rolling down the window to shoot a few frames of them as I slowly passed by them. After turning around again heading in the right direction, I was able to get off some better shots from the driver's side of the car. After this guy noticed me, he just stood there watching me for a few moments before deciding I wasn't a threat and went back to grazing on the grasses along the roadside like his friends.
