This is the Osprey nesting at the St. Mary's Visitors Center. The nest is on a platform on a pole by the parking lot. It was constructed to entice the bird to build its nest here rather than the nearby utility pole, which has apparently caused problems in the past. This Osprey had three chicks this year. I caught a shot of one with the camera, but the mother has her back turned in it. In the visitor center, they have a spotting scope set up to view the nest and they also have a webcam on the Glacier National Park web site that points at the nest.
