I've finally had a chance to start exploring our wedding photos. I love this one (in an alternate universe, I would be bothered by the fact that the table cloth is wrinkled. But the setting of the tables is one of many extremely precious memories of that evening).

Inspired by mikomiao's wedding week... perhaps I'll post a few more of my fav wedding photos this week.

[I fell off the flickr wagon this week -- a brutal combo of the start of classes and a three-day migraine. I took pictures... now I just have to post them].

30::7 - Freedom = Nap Time

The house guests are gone. This left two monkeys *extremely* happy to be released from their basement-prison. First thing they did? Several-hour nap on my bed.

This is the only photo I shot today. I'm completely wiped out and spent the whole day syllabizing. Classes start on Thursday.

30::5 - Houseguests

We have a lot of out of town guests this weekend -- some friends from Madison, D and his tour mate, etc. Our house is full and it feels good.

30::4 - The Week of the Carrot

As a rule, I'm not a fan of food closeups. They make me feel a little queasy. But I just couldn't get my camera to cooperate in any mode other than macro [chronic problem these days], so this is what you get.

This dinner, if I do say so myself, was SLAM-tastic. And it met my criteria for "recipe three" of the week. Lots of carrots in the CSA. They are almost all gone.

Carrot Soup from 101 Cookbooks again
[whatever you do, don't omit the toasted sesame oil. It makes the dish]

I supplemented with Tofu Croutons, from Moosewood Simple Suppers. I also added some diced red pepper for fun.

I think this would also be super tasty with some roasted almonds on top. I might have to try that this summer. This soup works surprisingly well in hot weather, but I imagine it will be heaven in the winter.
