Geez, this looks terrific!! It appears to be some fabulous meaty main course...and then I read the title ~ I didn't know of any choc. marshmallow dishes before this. Gorgeous color and obviously nutritionally sound. Yum!

Howdy Candy, This is one of two chocolate-marshmallow desserts that I like to make. The other is my "Rocky-Roadhouse" Cake which has big chunks of chocolate and walnuts. It's deep and dark and gets topped with confectioner's sugar.
Thanks for stopping by Candy, it's always a pleasure!

I keep this one in my head. Okay... here goes.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees
Use a large, round souffle or cassarole dish for baking.

You will need:
4 to 6 cups of stale bread
2 + cups of whole milk
4 eggs
1 cup sugar
1 Tbs Vanilla
1 Tbs Honey
1 cup chocolate covered graham cookies (broken)
1 cup chocolate chips
1 cup mini-marshmallows
2 Tbs Butter

I usually use crusty French or Italian bread along with some multi-grain. Tear it into pieces and soak bread in milk (using a non-metallic bowl) long enough to completely soften

Gently squeeze excess milk from bread, into a seperate bowl. Add more milk so that you have two cups. Add eggs, sugar, vanilla, and honey. Mix well.

Add milk-soaked bread, broken cookies, chocolate chips and mini-marshmallows mixing with care.

Pour into souffle coated with butter and bake for 45 minutes to an hour. Let set and serve warm. It's really killer with a little Chambord drizzled over the top!
