No, not a bad area. This is on 16th, which used to be Highway 40, and is the dividing line between downtown Sacramento and midtown, although I was asked for change when I shot this in the day and when I shot the photo above. It sounds like an interesting place:

Don't be affraid to eat there. Some of the best Chinese in Sacramento. The sign was just restored by Pacific Neon Co. in October 2005. One of many that we have done in the past sixty plus years throughout Sacramento. www.pacificneon.com
