I was wondering about this sign. My shot of it from 2004 in the day looks much better than my shot in 2000 or 2001, although part of that is the lighting. I had never seen it lit at night before, although I'm not sure how many times I've been there in the evening. I was surprised to find it lit at night, since the bakery was closed, and it's probably a pricy sign to keep lit in today's energy market.

The sign was originally manufactured by Pacific Neon Co. in approx. 1946 and was purchased by the Phillips family who commissioned the refurbishment in 2004.
