Atari Video Music

Atari Video Music by Tom Spaulding.
Found at a junk shop in south Sacramento. I had never heard of this particular device, but was very excited when I spotted "Atari." It cost me $10. The table is also a thrift-store find--I refinished the surface.

This guy has one, and he's posted it to Flickr. You definitely got a good deal, by the way - this BB has a post that said he picked one up for $95 and he's seen them going for $250.

Hope I get to find one myself, before the video music gets waxy'd or boingboinged.

It creates a light show on your television to go with the music from your stereo (there's a line-in to connect to your stereo. Here's an example:

Some MP3 player programs offer similar displays--with better graphics, of course.
