Garden Of The Gods by tsheets

Garden Of The Gods

This was a late evening shot taken at Garden of the Gods in Southern Illinois. A bit more of a panoramic view (crop) with both Camel Rock and Monkey Face in the frame.

Devil's Smokestack by tsheets

Devil's Smokestack

Another evening shot at Garden of the Gods. Several images stacked here, this time to eliminate people moving through from the picture rather than blending exposures. The stacking worked fairly well, there was a ghosted bit of someone just to the right of the green brush that I had to clone out..

Cat Tractor Pano Love by tsheets

Cat Tractor Pano Love

The Peoria flickr group went on a photowalk in a local scrap yard. There were about as many takes on the area as there were photographers! It was a surprisingly difficult place to capture. With so much going on, it was hard to really key in on a specific object and not confuse the eye with all the clutter.

The title says it all! A little ultra-wide-pano-love for you! Something along the lines of 6 frames stitched.

One way I attacked the issue was with my "go to" 10-22. I thought the wide angle perspective really worked with this tractor and angle.

This shot of a hub and the leaf springs was out front of the junk piles. Again, get close and shoot wide to try and push the pile further back. A really fast lens would have worked well to isolate.
