You Are Here

the best pic at alllllllll
(for me)
You Are Here by trykemom.
How I often feel.

I was reading a book on composition that had as an exercise, shooting contrasts like a photo of hard and a photo of soft, light and dark, liquid and solid, etc. and many and one. Then you were to try to combined the two in one photo. For some reason, this popped into my mind.

:) But that's actually good, isn't it? The guy at the peak, he must feel pretty awesome already if it wasn't for you, he'd be the most important guy of the pack!

Or am I overinterpreting ? ;)

Yes - great picture, great light and a masterful composition...

Awesome!
It's great how you put the coffee beans.
I love the blue arrow :-)

Now I'm interested in the contrasts...

This makes me laugh - I can somehow imagine you sitting there reading about composition - and coming up with this...
And it says a lot about you :-))
And it's composed to AA+

PS - I never read the chapters about composition (not that I read any of the others that carefully) - I've always thought of that as something intuitive. In art school we didn't have composition-classes - but were taught via critisism...

Actually I was thinking it went the other way, this being the tail end but I like your interpretation much better.

Why do you feel that way? I like the humor of the title and I think the blue arrow is a nice spot of color and the many beans plus one works nicely. The contrast of the dark brown beans to the white seems to me to be quite excellent..... I am also craving a cup of coffee now. :-)

Actually I feel like I wander off from the group a lot in my own, little world.

You're right, I am there.

I like the shape of the "tail" and the subtle shadows. Nice work :)

these are only words  Pro User  says:

Not that I'm overly religious, but this makes me think of religion class. The Upanishads (Hindu scriptures) philosophy of Brahman and Atman is to take the small self of the individual person and improve it, elevate it, and return it to the great self of Brahman. Like rivers returning to the sea, mist returning to the waterfall, or a drop of water going back to its source. The whole universe is basically a transformation of the one great Brahman, by means of the five great elements: earth, water, fire, wind, and space.

gps....does that look like Florida....

strange I have thought the group of beans
have looked like diff. things at diff. times that I
have viewed this photo, now it seems to
be shaped like Florida.

Did you shape it to resemble Florida trykemom?
