love this one

didn't care much for hitchhikers guide

I bought this one at Sqecial Media in lexington, KY

love the stinky cheese man.

we have read this one a 100 times or more to emma.

of course....we love the series.

Yes, Pete, you said something in my last shot about not looking like a librarian. I met a photographer in 2005 who was touring the country taking photos of librarians for a book titled "I am a librarian." Your comment reminded me of that and inspired me to take my own librarianish images. More to come. :)

fantastic shot...very creative. i think you've started a little wave through flickr with this one.

quite a few there i know--that feels good. adams is my all time favorite author, probably because he was the first to really open the world of words (and space) to me in ways i had not previously known. the world lost a good man there, that's for sure.

and yeah, i have to admit: i tried to buy the harry potter 6 at midnight at our local wal-mart the day it was released, only to find out that we had the only wal-mart not open 24 hours. grr.

not so now. you can know where i'll be at 12:00 am when they release the last one. =]

to address a few:

JWas, thank you! (blush) I liked angry Harry, too, but was glad that he didn't resurface in book 6. My personal opinion is that the anger was a combination of hormones and the lack of Dumbledore's guiding hand. ...so what does that mean for book 7?? Can't wait.

bw, you're the 2nd person in as many days to suggest the Golden Compass books. I will definitely pick them up.

Yes, the Tamron is louder than I was used to, having used a Canon USM lens for a long time. The sharpness of the Tamron more than makes up for it, in my book, tho'.
