It works by having peanut butter inside the chocolate!

i'm serious, though -- how do you make the walls? do you just put a layer of chocoalte on the bottom, a blob of peanut butter in the middle, then fill up the sides/top by pouring the chocolate on top around the peanut butter blob? i guess that'd work.

i want one

I put some melted chocolate in the bottom of a muffin cup and scrape it up the sides a bit to make an indentation. Then I harden it in the fridge. Then i spread some peanut butter in the indentation and make it smooth on top. Then I pour more melted chocolate on top of that and smooth it out, put it back in the fridge to harden, and BAM! Peanut butter cup. Simple.

see, that was actually my first guess, but i just didn't know how you'd make the chocolate stay up on the sides in a cup shape and not just pool back down around the bottom... but i guess if it wasn't super runny and already starting to harden just a little... hmmm...

either way, i really want a peanut butter cup now :(

yup! the chocolate I used was pretty dark, and I only had no-salt no-sugar peanut butter, so I mixed a bit of icing sugar into the peanut butter to make it sweeter and thicker. They turned out tasty, thank you!
