Thanks for all the comments everyone! Clearly the Kobe Biennale is a winner as far as producing photographs that inspire lots of comments. I chalk it up to the awesome (and fun) work on offer at the Biennale. If you're anywhere near Kobe, please give a visit before November 25th!

liljetjennie — First of all, let me say that you have one of the coolest Flickr names around! Anyhow, this was an exhibit at the Kobe Biennale which was held, as you might guess, in Kobe. All of the pieces on display were set up in shipping containers like this one. Unfortunately, the Biennale is no more, so this place no longer exists.

I hooked a wide-angle lens up to a mediscope cam, put it in my eyeball, and turned it back toward my brain. I was as surprised as you are by what I saw. Who is that little guy in there?!!!!!!!!

In all seriousness, this was one of the exhibits at the 2007 Kobe Biennale, all of which were mounted inside cargo ship containers. Good stuff.
