Danger: Do Not Walk On Ceiling

Yes, this sign is on the ceiling pointing down. There are a few dozen of these signs on the ceiling above the train platforms in North Station, Boston. I assume that these are the access hatches to some kind of crawl-space above, and that when open, this serves as a useful warning, but it still looks funny to me.
