Blue

burnt out
Brown creeping into the grey as result of tungsten light coming through doorway
Seriously crap cropping!
Blue by Trois Têtes (TT).
Blue is the color of night
When the red sun
Disappears from the sky
Raven feathers shiny and black
A touch of blue glistening down her back
We don't talk about heaven and we don't talk about hell
We come to depend on one another so damn well
So go to confession whatever gets you through
You can count your blessings I'll just count on blue

Lucinda Williams

Thanks to Dobak for the raven

18 shots of the marble to get it nearly right (I'm still missing a part of the shadow)

If we're being hyper-hyper-critical then the highlights are (at least on this screen) burned out on the lower LHS too, to the extent that they've eroded the perfectly circular shape of the marble. But good visualization!

I am hyper critical Simon and you are right. I have been trying to convince myself that I need a full set of studio flash lights with 0.1 stop adjustability. I think I am nearly convinced.

I think Gareth should just try backing off the exposure in 1/3 stop increments first :-)

I think the reviewer from the Independent spotted me in the crowd when Lucinda played the Shepherds Bush Empire a couple of weeks ago. I quote:

"When Williams, her sensual voice marinated in Bourbon, nicotine and a lifetime of disappointments, drawls of her desire to "drown in a ocean of love", there are middle aged men in the audience who would clearly jump at the chance to supply it"

Oh and by the way, for any non-English readers, Shepherds Bush is an area of London not an rural errogenous zone. Just thought I would straighten that one out.
