It's amazing! From having to stand in line for an hour to vote, to seeing an African American win -- what an incredibly wonderful day!!

Sleep? What sleep? I was way too worked up to sleep. Never in my life have I been so overjoyed with the political process. Despite all it's flaws it still works - here is the proof.

Sable: I'm happy for all of us. The footage from places around the world is just incredible. Can anyone tell me if there have ever been people in Africa dancing in celebration after a US Presidential election? Every major paper in the UK has positive headlines about the election.

Lisa: Happy day indeed.!!

Larry: You and I being children of the 60's - doesn't it just fill you with joy to see the values we were taught as chidren finally coming to fruition.?

Dr: Turn on the TV - they're dancing in Chicago, Honolulu, Harlem... and Africa!

One last note. Isn't it amazing how we got through this election with everyone carefully avoiding the subject of race? BUT - Once election day came and people were being forthcoming at the exit polls only 2% admited race was a factor... AND of that 2%, 58% said race was the reason they DIDN'T vote for Obama. Ha! just goes to show them, there's no room in our nation for that kind of thinking anymore.
God I love America!

We voted a woman in once. Never again :0)

Yes, we got over all that race thing years ago. We’ve had two Scottish Prime ministers in a row.

At Hartlepool, were we live,We even voted in a monkey as mayor.

Sat glued to the election coverage last week almost all night myself...including the John Stewart/Stephen Colbert special. Even had nightmares that I woke up and the key states suddenly had a burst of McCain votes and Obama lost his lead...then i woke up & remembered it's 2008, not 2000 nor 2004 :)

When I wasn't watching election results, I was literally dancing around the house like a dork. My wife vetoed any photographic images of said dances. As a small business owner, I am looking forward to Jan. 19th.

PS: congrats on the article mention.

Yeah! Way to go on the article mention! It is because you captured the feeling of everything everyone was yearning for..... And FINALLY got it; HOPE. I'm just glad I didn't have to auction off my Citizenship on Ebay, if the 'Old man' and the 'Experienced' Alaskan Governor won the election ;-D
