I keep a bar of Trader Joes Oatmeal Exfoliant ginger Almond soap next to my pillow, it reminds me of clean home. I also always sleep with a pen & sticky note ready cuz I usually dream of my fieldwork. My participants never leave my head.
摸索 - the one word that sufficiently captures the last year in china, all my fieldwork, & my life. It''s hard to translate this concept, but it essentially means, "to discover and feel your way through even when you don't known the answers or path"
