Amsterdam Ave

1960s vintage color coded Amsterdam Avenue street sign.
Manhattan and Staten Island were this black on yellow, Brooklyn was white on black, Queens was blue on white, and the Bronx was white on blue.

I remember the color coded signs. When I visit N.Y. I still spot one in Brooklyn or Queens on occasion.
