I'm curious as to why you used a mid level ISO, then a fast shutter speed. Is it because you didn't want to have to think about the settings at the party so set it beforehand?

Personally I've been adjusting the ISO as I go - mainly because I'd rather not shoot above 200 if I don't have too as my camera doesn't process it brilliantly - but I'm still new at this, and it does take a bit of time adjusting everything everytime a scene changes...

@Wolf, When setting my ISO's, I usually pick a middle of the road number and then adjust my shutter speed/aperture during the event. The lighting varies so much, and my camera's ISO setting is harder to get at than the other two.
